Edie Chappell

Edie Chappell is a mixed media artist who has a love for exploration in mediums and mark making. Predominately an abstract artist she works from her studio in her home where she lives in a little bay on the Kaipara Harbour. Although mainly self-taught with an inquisitive nature she has studied both locally and online. Her work takes on an intuitive layering technique and often doesn’t reveal itself until finished.
“I want the viewer to see the originality of the work and the connection it has to the artists creation, but I also want the viewers to find their own connection to the works either through the color, the shapes or the story they find it is telling.”
