2 Park Lane, Parkview Waters, Mangawhai, phone first to make sure I'm home.
I commenced sculpting about 35 years ago Mac Treliving and Marilyn Wheeler - two inspirational potters were to set me on a great journey with sculpting.
At Auckland Studio Potters I participated in some wonderful workshops with Duncan Shearer and Brendan Adams. During that time I took a two year Glaze Technology course with Otago Poly Tech.
I am passionate about animals, birds and their welfare. Aiming to capture their personalities and to reflect that special bond that can exist between us and animals.
A love of old and historical buildings gave me an extra path to follow, hence houses for the garden which can also double as bird feeders are a large part of my work.
As a sculpture artist I have been invited to present my work in many exhibitions.
A solo exhibition in Tauranga after the “Rena” disaster showcased the plight of the penguins.
Fun of tutoring local and home-schooled children as well as tutoring as a ceramic artist on a voluntary basis at Auckland City Mission. for four years. It was a great time with some very capable students.
We have recently moved to Mangawhai from Warkworth.
My home / studio is open to visitors, children are welcome, the garden abounds with animals including a life size cheetah!
