Mandy Jakich

Mandy Jakich is a multimedia artist whose work is deeply rooted in a response to place. Engaging with the language of geometric abstraction, Mandy explores the interplay of form, colour, shape, line, and pattern to distill landscapes and nature into dynamic visual compositions.

Through a process of experimentation across various media including paint and thread, Mandy creates work that is both playful and precise—an invitation to see the world through a lens of fragmented symmetry and shifting perspectives.

Mandy has recently moved to Mangawhai Heads from Muriwai Beach, where she was a member of the Muriwai Artists’ Collective.

She is the founder and host of the Creative Connections podcast where she has long form conversations with artists from Aotearoa NZ about their creative journey, art practice and process.
