Mark Lewington

Mark established his graphic design and signwriting business 'Only Concepts' in 2003, and has always been an active 'maker' across a multitude of mediums. As an artist, he is inspired by life and all its infinite wonder. His painted works are approached from a design perspective, using spray paint, stencils, hand painting, screen print and layered vinyl cut graphics, predominantly on recycled surfaces or objects - things that have history, their own unique nostalgic characteristics and charm.

These raw beginnings precept the creative process, setting the backdrop for his expression. He enjoys working with different materials to create a diverse range of unique works, "I love the overwhelming power and yet subtlety of empty space, raw texture and vibrant colour. I aim to captivate, intrigue, create question, and to make the audience smile. That’s my goal in art."
