Nelly Van der Oord

Coming to live in Whangarei 7 years ago has given me the opportunity, time and freedom in my mind to create. This place has inspired and driven me to get into art. A passion I always had, just never fulfilled, to be able to think a little differently. I like to create pieces that are a slightly of beat. They usually have some sort of Mixed Media, Collage or Multi Media in them, although I also do straight paintings in Acrylic and Oil. I also enjoy working with Plaster of Paris to create sculptures and sculptural effects whilst also making sculptures out of Pottery .
