I have been developing as an artist for many years, with so much still to discover. In addition to working as an artist, tutor and mentor, I set up and ran the Beetroot Tree Gallery in the UK for 13 years, a space that grew into a hub for exhibitions, events, workshops and a café, gradually transforming the village where we were based.
On moving to Aotearoa/New Zealand I worked as gallery coordinator at the Geoff Wilson Gallery at NorthTec (Whangārei) for 18 months, before leaving to give myartwork and teaching the time they needed to develop. I was also instrumental in setting up the Mahurangi Artist Network and the Mahurangi Network Gallery.
I hope to bring some of the experience I have gained over the years to benefit Mangawhai Artists Inc., an organisation that has been very welcoming since I joined.
