Sand Cement Carving

We use a 3:1 mix of sand and cement with water. After some hours this mix can be sliced with an eating knife for roughing out and a couple of hours later details can be carved into the slowly setting mixture. When you arrive at 9am the mixture will be ready to carve. We use 10 litre paint buckets as moulds. Finished carvings are very strong but full strenghth takes a month to develop. We suggest you leave your work on site for a few days to reduce the risk of damage in transit.
Work can be painted afterwards if desired.
