The information below is important for all artists taking part in the Mangawhai Art Trail 2026. It outlines what’s involved, key dates, and what you can expect as a participating artist. Please take a moment to read through it carefully before registering.

About the Art Trail

The Mangawhai Art Trail is an annual weekend event where artists open their studios or exhibit their work for the public to visit.

Artists registered for the 2026 Art Trail will be included in event promotion, printed brochures, and signage across the trail.

Who Can Register

You can register to take part in the Mangawhai Art Trail 2026 if you:

Are a local artist or maker working in any medium
Are a paid-up member of Mangawhai Artists Inc (MAI)
Are able to meet the attendance and payment requirements listed below

Studio & Shared Space Options

You do not need to open your own studio to take part.

If your studio is not suitable, or is located off the main trail route, you may register to exhibit in a shared space. We can help connect artists who have spare studio or exhibition space available with those who need a venue.

Attendance Requirements

By registering, you agree to be available at your venue during the following Art Trail hours:

Option 1: Saturday 28 February 2026: 10.00am – 4.00pm
Option 2: Sunday 1 March 2026: 10.00am – 3.00pm
Option 3: Both Saturday 28 February 2026 10:00am - 4:00pm & Sunday 1 March 2026 10:00am to 3:00pm

Registration Fee & Payment

The registration fee is $25 per person.

This fee helps cover the costs involved with promoting the Art Trail, including printed brochures and signage.
